Whereas, The continuing concern for the resettlement of refugees remains a critical aspect of this Church's response to human need, and with immigration and refugee issues providing a new focus for the needed change in present federal policy with regard to immigration and refugee concerns; and

Whereas, The Board of the Presiding Bishop's Fund for World Relief has requested an amendment to its Charter for an increase in its membership; therefore be it

Resolved, That Article III of the Charter of the Presiding Bishop's Fund for World Relief be amended so that Board membership be increased from 16 members to 20 members in addition to the ex-officio membership of the Presiding Bishop and the Executive for World Mission in Church and Society; and that each annually rotating class be accordingly increased from four members to five members, with each member serving a four year term; and be it further

Resolved, That in Article IV the present sub-committees of the Fund's Board be increased by the establishment of a Refugee Sub-Committee whose function and duties shall be prescribed by the Board.
