The Rev. M. Antoinette Schiesler, associate to the dean of Cathedral Church of St. John, Wilmington, DE, died April 8 at age 61.

Mrs. Schiesler was born in Chicago, IL. She was educated at the University of Notre Dame, the University of Tennessee, the University of Maryland, and Virginia Theological Seminary. She was ordained deacon in 1994. Mrs. Schiesler served as director of research at Villanova University, was academic dean of Cabrini College and an author. She was a trustee of the Diocese of Michigan, a board member of the Philadelphia Theological Institute, a member of executive council and trial court for the Diocese of Delaware, and an executive board member of the Episcopal Women's Caucus. Mrs. Schiesler is survived by her husband, the Rev. Robert Alan Schiesler.
