The Rev. Daniel Suders, assistant at St. Stephen's, Hollywood, CA, died Feb. 19 of kidney failure. He was 49.

Fr. Suders was a native of Glendale, CA, who was educated at California State Univerisity at Los Angeles, General Theological Seminary and Claremont School of Theology. He was ordained deacon in 1973 and priest in 1974. He was rector of St. Clement's, Huntington Park, CA, 1974-79, vicar of St. John's, La Verne, CA, 1979-80, associate at St. Paul's, Pomona, 1980-83, associate at St. John's, Los Angeles, 1983-88, and assistant at Trinity, Los Angeles, 1988-90. In the early '90s he assisted at Ascension, Tujunga, and St. Francis, Atwater Village, and had been at the Hollywood parish since 1994. He was a lecturer in church music at the Episcopal Theological School at Claremont from 1974 to 1978, and for a time he chaired the diocesan program group on Hispanic ministry. He is survived by his mother, Ramona Frost.
