The Episcopal Church recently received a bequest of $532,000 from the estate of Mrs. Hiram McCurry, Texarkana, Tex. Receiving the check on behalf of the national church was Oscar C. Carr, center, executive for development. Standing, left to right, in front of St. James Episcopal Church, the parish church of the McCurrys, are: the Rev. Richard C. Allen, rector of St. James; Bob Burns, senior warden of the parish; Mr. Carr; Bishop A. Donald Davies of the Diocese of Dallas; and Richard Martin, assistant chancellor of the Diocese of Dallas.
