A lone man battles the elements during a recent snow storm that battered
Boston and other areas. The Episcopal Church's Presiding Bishop's Fund for
World Relief made an initial emergency grant of $10,000 to the Diocese of Massachusetts
in response to an appeal by Bishop John B. Coburn of that diocese. The grant will provide
relief aid in the form of food, clothing, medical aid, and temporary shelter for victims of
the storms. Episcopalians may contribute to a special appeal, designated "Winter
Emergency," by sending gifts to the Presiding Bishop's Fund, 815 Second Avenue, New
York, N.Y. 10017. (Photo Credit: UPI).
