At the National Workshop on Christian Unity in Seattle, March 10-13, the Rt.
Rev. Arthur A. Vogel, left, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of West Missouri, presented a
paper on infallibility. In an address to the Episcopal and Roman Catholic diocesan ecumenical
officers, Bishop Vogel contended that infallibility is never found in an individual but rather is
exercised in a conciliar way. The test of time, he said, may be applied to infallible pronounce-
ments and time may prove or disprove validity of a statement. In the center above is Arch-
