Missionary Team Finds Reconciliation Elusive in Rwanda.
The horrors visited upon Rwanda during an outbreak of ethnic violence continue to plague the country, a missionary team from
Sharing of Ministries Abroad (SOMA) discovered on a recent visit, as Hutus and Tutsis alike struggle to find a common ground
of reconciliation. During the bloodshed in 1994, hospitals were overwhelmed as they attempted to treat wounds from machetes,
mortars, grenades and bullets. (Episcopal News Service photo by Hugh McCullum/World Council of Churches)
