New Primate for Middle East.
Bishop Ghais Malik (right), bishop in the Diocese of Egypt and North Africa since 1984, has been elected president-bishop
(primate) of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and North Africa. His province comprises the diodese of Jerusalem, Iran, Egypt
and North Africa, as well as Cyprus and the Gulf. Malik stands with his predecessor, Bishop Samir Kafity, outside his diocesan
