A basket where a Honduran bridge was before Hurricane Mitch struck. Two men share the hastily built basket ferry that spans the gaping hole left by the destruction of a bridge at the Honduran town of La Cieba. Local residents told an American medical and construction missionary team that the town's mayor and police chief, who were inspecting the bridge during the storm, were swept away with the flood that broke open a huge part of the bridge structure.
