Voluntary agencies director Paul Cushing is on temporary assignment at Ft. Indiantown Gap refugee camp from the office of the secretary, Philadelphia regional office, U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. He is not satisfied with the rate at which sponsoring families have volunteered to resettle the refugees. The camp will not be winterized and so he is hoping the 17,000 people will find homes by Thanksgiving.
