NEW YORK CITY: Music is in the air at St. Bartholomew's Church - - - There are three more opportunities this month to enrich your spirit musically at St. Bartholomew's Church, located at 109 East 50th Street. The "Commuter Series" continues October 19 at 6:30 p.m. with Jon Manasse, clarinetist, performing Brahms' Sonata No. 1 and Bassi's Rigoletto Fantasy. Tickets are $20 and $15 students/seniors. "Manhattan Voices" kicks off October 26 at 7:30 p.m. with "To B or Not to B," a primarily a cappella performance of the music of Bach, Brahms, Bernstein, Barber, Billings, Berkeley, Byrd and Benjamin Britten. Concert tickets are $20 and $15 students/seniors. The month concludes with the October 29, 7:30 p.m. performance of "The Pharos Music Project: New Choral Music." Vocal composers James Blachly, Patrick Castillo, and Martha Sullivan spearhead this new-music collective that features an a cappella choral. Tickets are $20 and $15 students/seniors. WESTERN LOUISIANA: Annual Herbal Harvest and Arts and Crafts Show - - - St. Patrick's will hold its 15th Annual Herbal Harvest and Original Arts and Crafts Show, October 22, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The event will feature arts and crafts booths, food prepared by St. Patrick members, music and a Biblical herb display.

BETHLEHEM, PENNSLYVANIA: Trinity Episcopal Church offers music filled weekend - - - The 2005-2006 Concert Series at Trinity Episcopal Church continues on October 22, 7:30 p.m. with sopranos Anneliese von Goerken and Linda Laubach and the Women of Trinity Choir, accompanied by Trinity organist Lorenz Maycher. They will perform music by Bach, Fauré, Handel, Langlais, Vierne, Weinberger, and Widor. On October 23, 9:15 a.m., come hear the history of Trinity's pipe organ and the evolution of this instrument with Dr. Charles Callahan. In the afternoon at 3 p.m., stay for a concert of "Favorite Anthems" followed by a reception. All three events are free and open to the public. NEW YORK CITY: Interfaith relations panel discussion - - - On October 27 at 6 p.m. in the second-floor Parlor of 74 Trinity Place, Trinity Grants will present "The World in Our Neighborhood: Interfaith Dialogue and Social Transformation," a panel discussion exploring the perils and promise of interfaith relations. Panelists will include: Dr. Lucinda Mosher, Neighborfaith Project; the Rev. Robert Morris, Interweave; Amir al-Islam, World Council of Muslims for Interfaith Relations; and Allyson Gall, the American Jewish Committee of Milburn, NJ.

THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA: Matt Harris combo to perform "Jazz Vespers" - - - The Matt Harris Combo will perform at a "Jazz Vespers" service, October 28, 7:30 p.m., at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church. The combo's appearance will mark the continuation of "The Arts at St. Patrick's," a performance series from August to December that integrates diverse musical styles into the church experience. Tickets are $20, available at the door, with proceeds going to the St. Patrick's Music Program. Wine and cheese will be served after the performance.
