RADIO COVERAGE FOR PEACE MEETING
The Executive Council's Division of Radio and Television will produce three radio programs designed to provide in-depth news coverage of the first National Inter-Religious Conference on Peace to be held in Washington, D. C., March 15-17.
At this Conference over 500 participants of many religious communions will discuss such issues as "China and Conflicts in Asia" and "Confronting the Communist World" in an effort towards finding means of attaining world peace.
The coverage planned will include three half hour programs. Two of these programs are designed to be broadcast either one after the other or on different days, providing a full hour's coverage of the events and issues of the Conference, while the third will provide a condensed half hour coverage.
Ed Hardy, news director of WABC Radio and acting president of the New York Radio News Directors Association will provide his services as anchor man for the programs. The Association has lent Mr. Hardy to the Division for this occasion.
The condensed half hour program will be on ABC Radio Network at 3:30 E.S.T. March 20. The three programs will be available to any interested stations for broadcast.
