Additional Chaplains Needed

ADDITIONAL CHAPLAINS NEEDED

The recent step up in draft calls in the United States means, in part, that all services, Army, Navy and Air Force, have requested additional Chaplains.

With more and more young men entering the Armed Forces, clergy should be aware of the availability of an Armed Forces kit designed to be presented publicly as a send-off gift when a man leaves for active duty. It consists of an Armed Forces Prayer Book, a Service Cross, and an Episcopal Church I. D. Card. These kits can be ordered from diocesan Armed Forces chairmen. Available also is an Address Card to enable clergy to inform the Rector of the parish adjacent to the Base or the Episcopal Chaplain on it (if there is one) of a parishioner's coming.

For information about qualifications and procedure in making application for chaplaincies write Chaplain Cyril Best, U. S. N. (Ret.), Episcopal Church Center, 815 Second Ave., New York, N. Y. 10017.
