Presiding Bishop Hines has announced the appointment of two new officers in the Department of Christian Social Relations of the Executive Council: the Rev. Eric A. Snyder and Mrs. Carol Davis.
Father Snyder, of New York City, began work Sept. 1 as associate secretary for Ministry to the Aging in the Division of Community Relations. In this post he will help plan, develop and implement programs for a total ministry to aging persons. He will also serve in the Division's program of planning community services and the Episcopal Church's involvement in total community welfare. He will provide consultation to Episcopal agencies serving the aging and help dioceses strengthen not only programs for aging but all church- related social welfare.
Mrs. Davis will serve as associate secretary for Liaison Work with the General Division of Women's Work, also effective Sept. 1. She will represent Episcopal Churchwomen in the program planning of the Department of Christian Social Relations and will be responsible for bringing together the resources of the General Division of Women's Work and the Department of Christian Social Relations, at both national and diocesan levels.
Since 1963 Father Snyder has been director of Family Service for the Episcopal City Mission Society of New York. Prior to that he served parishes in White Plains, N.Y. and New York City.
Mrs. Davis has been on the staff of Christ Church, Corning, N.Y. since 1965 as a teaching minister. Prior to that she served on the staff of Windham House, national training school for professional women church workers, and with the Family Service Society, Austin, Texas.
