Dioceses Promote Attendance on Radio

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Twenty-seven Dioceses of the Episcopal Church are participating in a nationwide radio spot announcement campaign to promote Church attendance, according to the Rev. Robert Libby, the Church's national director for radio-television.

The announcements, originally developed as a pilot program in the Diocese of Olympia, have received four international broadcast awards from the Hollywood Radio and Television Society as being among "the world's best" broadcast advertisements.

The broadcast campaign will begin in the following Dioceses:

Central New York; Chicago; Colorado; Dallas; Easton (Eastern Shore, Maryland); Erie (Pennsylvania); Eau Claire (Wisconsin); Georgia; Mississippi; New Hampshire; Newark (New Jersey); North Carolina; Northern Indiana; North West Texas.

Ohio; Oklahoma; Olympia (Western Washington); Pittsburgh; Rhode Island; South Carolina; South Dakota; Southern Ohio; Southwestern Virginia; Springfield (Illinois); Washington, D. C.; West Texas; Western Michigan.
