Trinity Institute Conference to be Held

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- "The Holy Spirit" will be the theme of the Fifth National Conference of the Trinity Institute, to be held again in 1974 in New York and San Francisco. The Institute, a special ministry of the Parish of Trinity Church in New York City, provides theological education for Episcopal clergy throughout the year.

The major addresses will be given by the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Reverend Michael Ramsey; the Archbishop of Malines - Brussels and Primate of Belgium, Leon - Joseph Cardinal Suenens; and Prior of the Taize Community in France, Frere Roger Schultz.

The New York lectures will be given January 30 - February 1 at the Riverside Church. The San Francisco session begins February 4 at Grace Cathedral and concludes February 6. The Rev. Robert E. Terwilliger, Director of the Institute, will preach at the concluding Eucharist of both sessions.

Cardinal Suenens will be unable to go to San Francisco. However, the Rev. Thomas Hopko, a member of the faculty of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary will lecture there.

Last year, the two conferences attracted more than 2,000 Episcopal clergy and religious. At the same time the General Conference is being held, the Institute is also sponsoring another annual event, the Bishop's Conference, to which all members of the Episcopal House of Bishops are invited. Archbishop Ramsey will hold a private session with them.

The Presiding Bishop - Elect, the Rt. Rev. John M. Allin, will be the preacher at the Eucharist January 31 at Riverside Church.
