FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The fifth annual conference of the North American Broadcast Section (NABS) of the World Association for Christian Communication (WACC) will be held December 2 -6, 1974, at the Gait Ocean Mile Hotel, Fort Lauderdale.

The theme for the 1974 conference is "The Christian Broadcaster As Active Listener."

The fourth annual conference last fall attracted 241 persons from 30 states and five countries overseas.

The WACC, based in London, serves Christian communicators in a training and forum role and as a funding agency for communication concerns in the Third World.

In 1970 representatives of several organizations of Christian broadcasters formed the NABS of the WACC. Religious broadcasters from Roman Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical and Jewish backgrounds were invited to participate. An effort has been made to include representatives from the broadcast industry, minority races and the academic community.

At the 1974 conference there will be blocks of time set aside for meetings of denominational and special interest groups.

Episcopalians who have a responsibility or interest in this field and desire further information about the conference may contact: Sonia Francis, Broadcast Representative, Executive Council/Episcopal Church, 815 Second Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10017.
