Youth and College Ministries Coordinator Named

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Ms. Elizabeth L. Crawford of Cambridge, Mass., joined the staff of the Episcopal Church's national Executive Council on September 1, as Youth and College Ministries Coordinator. She replaces Mrs. Ruth Cheney who has become Executive for Program. The other staff member in the youth and college ministries office is the Rev. James McAlpine.
Before her appointment to the Council staff, Ms. Crawford served in various capacities, including program director, regional counselor, and returnee coordinator, with the International Christian Youth Exchange. She has worked in the areas of public relations, recruitment of potential participants, and in setting up and directing special programs for exchangees and candidates.
A native of Massachusetts, Ms. Crawford studied at the Sorbonne, Paris, France, in 1969, and received her A. B. degree in French from William Smith College, Geneva, N.Y. She received her M.S. degree from Simmons College School of Library Science, Boston, Mass., in 1972.
