Interreligious Coalition for Housing Plans Consultation

Diocesan Press Service. February 27, 1975 [75089]

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Interreligious Coalitions for Housing (ICH), a part of the ecumenical Joint Strategy and Action Committee (JSAC), plans to bring together 500 religious leaders, housing specialists and government legislators, at Quality Inn, on Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C., April 22-24, 1975.

The Rt. Rev. Paul Moore, Jr., Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, will deliver the keynote address at this three-day consultation.

Planners of the consultation have indicated that the meeting should be invaluable for those dioceses and parishes seeking to advance housing programs as a part of their ministry.

ICH is a coalition representing 17 national Roman Catholic, Jewish, and Protestant and Anglican organizations, which seeks to secure safe, decent housing for aged, poor, and middle-income people at prices they can afford, in environments conducive to self-development.

Those interested should write to Mr. Woodrow W. Carter or the Rev. Everett W. Francis, Episcopal Church Center, 815 Second Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10017.
