CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Conference of Diocesan Executives (CODE) six- member Steering Committee met July 10-12 at the Church House in Cleveland, Ohio, to make plans for the 1976 Annual Meeting and Conference. CODE members will gather at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, near Phoenix, from March 29 through April 2, 1976.
This modern training facility is ideally suited to meet the program and housing needs of the seventy-five individuals expected to attend. The Spring meeting will provide occasion for participants to sharpen their professional skills, clarify the theological base for their executive roles and to gain exposure to developing methods of serving the Church more effectively.
CODE exists as an agency to serve the Church, with the Bishops, through the Diocese, in the development of effective organizational and executive procedures, and to provide a primary vehicle of communication among members and with the National Church for planning, program and administration. Each annual meeting is intended to provide program and environment to expedite this purpose.
CODE Steering Committee members are : the Rev. Leroy Hall, Southern Ohio; the Rev. Courtland Moore, Dallas; the Rev. Hunter Morris, Arizona; Mr. James Wyrick, Louisiana; the Rev. Francis Washburn, Ohio; and the Ven. William G. Lewis, Pittsburgh.
