Seminary Dean in Lexington Dies

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Very Rev. Willard A. Page, dean of the Episcopal Theological Seminary in Kentucky, died Oct. 31 at his home after suffering a heart attack.

Dean Page, 67, had recently returned to his duties at the Lexington seminary following a September heart attack.

A former Presbyterian minister, the Rochester, N.Y., native held a Ph.D. from Boston University and had taught in West Coast colleges before coming to Lexington.

He had taught Old Testament, homiletics and Hebrew courses at ERSKy since 1964. He was named dean in 1969.

Survivors include his wife, Alicia.

The burial office was read Nov. 3 in Dean Page's parish, St. Raphael's, Lexington, by the rector of the seminary, the Rt. Rev. William R. Moody, retired bishop of Lexington.
