Coalition For Human Needs Backs 27 Projects

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Episcopal Church's Coalition for Human Needs threw its support behind 27 projects for social ministries throughout the United States. The total awarded was up to $262,400 if all matching grant proposals are funded, and all conditions met.
The Coalition, which is the grant-making vehicle of the Episcopal Church Center's Church in Society ministries, made the awards at a May 16 meeting. At the same time, the Coalition set the deadlines and meeting dates for its 1979 funding meetings. The first will be May 18-19 and the deadline for submitting projects is Feb. 20, 1979. The second will be Nov. 16-17 with an Aug. 16, 1979 deadline set.
