Episcopal News Service. January 24, 1980 [80020]

NEW YORK -- Three 30-second television announcements highlighting the work of the Episcopal Church's Presiding Bishop's Fund for World Relief will be available in mid-February for use on local channels.

Presiding Bishop John M. Allin narrates the three color announcements, each of which is designed to illustrate one of three major areas of the Fund's work: disaster relief, refugee ministry, and development. The announcements are adapted from the new film of the Presiding Bishop's Fund, "Yes, A Difference," which premiered at the Colorado General Convention and is currently in wide use throughout the Church.

The announcements, on 16-mm color film and created for use in broadcast public service announcement slots, will be available free of charge after Feb. 15. Diocesan media officers and other interested Episcopalians who wish to try to place these in local markets should write to Sonia Francis/Radio-TV Officer/Episcopal Church Center/815 Second Ave. /New York, N.Y. 10017.

A series of complementary radio announcements is also being prepared and will be available in a few weeks.
