Alan F. Blanchard has been named president-elect of the Church Pension Fund. Blanchard is an active parishioner of the Church of the Heavenly Rest in New York and is currently a Wall Street investment adviser and money manager. Blanchard will join the Fund in January 1990 and assume the office of president in April 1991 upon the retirement of Robert Robinson. The Fund, which administers the pension system for Episcopal clergy, has assets of over $1.7 billion.
The Episcopal Church Foundation has announced a reorganization of staff to support its current project, Excellence in Ministry, which is designed to strengthen clergy leadership in the church. Jeffry H. Kittros has been appointed vice-president of the Excellence in Ministry study, with particular attention to staff oversight of the project. William G. Andersen, Jr., has been appointed vice-president of administration, with responsibilities in the foundation grant, graduate fellowship, and parish and diocesan construction loan programs. Andersen and Kittros will share fund-raising responsibilities along with the foundation's development committee.
