Catechumenal Process Association Established
Episcopal News Service. October 7, 1993 [93177A]
A recent gathering in Indianapolis of over 50 clergy and laity involved in roles of leadership and development for the catechumenal process has resulted in the formation of the North American Association from the Catechumenate (NACC). The purpose of the NACC is to provide leadership teams and training opportunities in Christian initiation, and create a network of consultants and resources for those involved in planning and development of the catechumenal process. The gathering was sponsored by the Association of Diocesan Liturgy and Music Commissions; Associated Parishes for Liturgy and Mission; and the Evangelism Ministries Office of the Episcopal Church. The group met in conjunction with the Episcopal Church USA Task Force on Christian Initiation. To be included on the mailing list for the NACC newsletter or for further information, call the Episcopal Church Center at (800) 334-7626 and ask for the Evangelism office (ext. 5268), the Adult Education office (ext. 5241), or the Liturgy and Music office (ext. 5243).
