"A great success" was the verdict on the Wichita Liturgical Conference held at St. James Church, Wichita, early in November, according to the Rev. Frederick W. Putnam, moderator of the Conference.

The conference was attended by over 920 participants who came from 39 states, Mexico, England and New Zealand.

The theme of the conference, sponsored by Associated Parishes, Inc., was "Liturgy and Mission," and Fr. Putnam, who is president of Associated Parishes, reported "positive reactions" to the Conference addresses. "I do feel it was a significant contribution to the life of the whole Church, " he stated.

A by-product of the Liturgical Arts Exhibit at the Conference is a catalogue of liturgical artists who are interested in doing work for churches, along with a listing of their addresses and the media in Which they work. "It is hoped that this can be added to as more and more artists hear about it and show an interest in being listed," Fr. Putnam said.
