Klein Consecration Set

NEW YORK, --- The Very Rev. Walter Conrad Klein, S. T. D., will be consecrated Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Northern Indiana at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, in St. James' Cathedral, South Bend, Indiana.
Dean Klein, who has served as dean of Nashotah House, Nashotah, Wisc., since 1959, was elected bishop coadjutor on March 13. He will succeed the Rt. Rev. Reginald Mallett, Bishop of Northern Indiana, who is expected to retire in October.
Bishop Mallett will consecrate Dean Klein. He will be assisted by the Rt. Rev. John P. Craine, D.D., Bishop of Indianapolis, and the Rt. Rev. Gerald F. Burrill, S.T.D., L.H.D., Bishop of Chicago.
Dean Klein was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 28, 1904. He received his BA degree from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and his BD from General Theological Seminary in New York City, where he also received STM and STD degrees. He also holds a PhD from Columbia University, New York City, and an STD from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois.
