Consecration of Bishop Coadjutor, April 4

On April 4, The Very Rev. Ned Cole is to be consecrated Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Central New York. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, Syracuse, N.Y., with Presiding Bishop Lichtenberger as Consecrator.
Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis, Mo., since 1956, Dean Cole was elected to the Episcopate at the Central New York Diocesan Convention in November. A Missourian by birth, Dean Cole received a BA degree in 1939 from Westminster College and was later awarded a Doctorate of Divinity there. At the University of Missouri, he attended graduate school, and received his Bachelor of Divinity degree from Episcopal Theological School. He was ordained deacon and priest in 1948. Dean Cole served as president of diocesan Standing Committee and was a Deputy to General Convention in 1955 and 1961.
