World Affairs Seminar Planned

An Institute on Christianity in World Affairs will be held from July 12 - Aug. 6, the first three weeks at American University, Washington, D. C. and the last week at the Church Center for the United Nations, New York City.

During the first three weeks, there will be both lectures and seminars. The lecturers, given during the two morning sessions., will be on "The Nature and Problems of International Relations" and "Christian Insights in International Relations." The seminars will focus on specific areas such as Latin America and on problems of important Christian concern in the international field.

The week at the United Nations will include resource persons from the United Nations and from certain National Missions to the United Nations, including the United States Mission. Ample time will be provided for observing the United Nations in action.

The faculty will include Dr. Eddy Asirvatham, Dr. John C. Bennett, Dr. Harold E. Davis, Dr. Ernest S. Griffith, Dr. Leonard J. Kramer, Dr. Charles O. Lerche, Jr., Dr. Darrell D. Randall, Dr. Raymond J. Seeger, and Dr. Gerald F. Winfield.

The course, which is conducted at a level that would be especially useful for denominational executives, faculty members of seminaries and church colleges, lay leaders, clergy and missionaries, may be taken for formal credit at the graduate level.
