The Metropolitan of the Church of India, Pakistan, Burma and Ceylon, The Most Rev. H.L.J. deMel, and the Bishop of New York, the Rt. Rev. H. W. B. Donegan, led the vested delegation of Episcopal bishops at the Pope's Mass for Peace Oct. 4 in Yankee Stadium.
Others present Were: the Rt. Rev. J. P. DeWolfe, Bishop of Long Island; the Rt. Rev. L.W. F. Stark, Bishop of Newark; the Rt. Rev. D. Corrigan; director of the Executive Council's Home Department; and the Rt. Rev. J.S. Wetmore, Suffragan Bishop of New York.
Present at Holy Family Church where the Pope met representatives of the religious groups working with the United Nations were; the Rt, Rev. W. Crittenden, Bishop of Erie, vice-president at large of the National Council of Churches; the Rev. Raymond E. Maxwell, World Council of Churches; and the Rev. Herschel Halbert; associate secretary, division of Christian citizenship, Executive Council's Department of Christian Social Relations.
