Abstract:   The 67th General Convention amends Constitution Article XI by renumbering it and deleting references to Missionary Dioceses and the Convocation of American Churches in Europe.
Notes:

With the addition of the new Article XI [Of the Term "Diocese"], the Constitutional Article formerly numbered XI [Of Amendments to the Constitution] was renumbered XII.

The resolution which first proposed this constitutional amendment, 1979-A024, made a series of changes to the constitution regarding the use of the term Diocese. The second readings for these changes were presented in 1982 in a series of separate resolutions. See 1979-A024 for the text of the first reading.
