Resolved, That the 69th General Convention declare its backing to president Azcona and the other Central American presidents in their attempts toward peace; and be it further

Resolved, That all the Central American presidents be asked to fulfill and respect the signed agreement; and be it further

Resolved, That the General Convention also declare its support to the Peace Accord of Esquipulas, that they may help us in our search for peace and harmony in Central America.

Whereas, the conflict in Central America continues taking many lives in the countries that form the Central American Isthmus; and

Whereas, our president Jose Azcona del Hoyo was one of the signatories of the Peace Accord in the city of Esquipulas, Guatemala; and

Whereas, Honduras is a country that has taken thousands of refugees from Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala and shares what we have with them giving them asylum and help; and

Whereas, our church is called to be a peacemaker and a messenger of love; therefore be it

Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the 69th General Convention declare its backing to president Azcona and the other Central American presidents in their attempts toward peace; and be it further

Resolved, That all the Central American presidents be asked to fulfill and respect the signed agreement; and be it further

Resolved, That the General Convention also declare its support to the Peace Accord of Esquipulas, that they may help us in our search for peace and harmony in Central America.
