Resolved, That this Convention promote the intentionality of the Episcopal Church in the coming triennium actively to reach out and draw into the Church single persons of all sorts and conditions through special campaigns and activities; and be it further

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on Human Affairs and Mission Operations of the Church Center Staff be asked to evaluate what is being done and what should be done by our Church in its many forms to assist this ministry; and to provide the 71st General Convention with a full report on this matter within the funds budgeted for the work of this Commission.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, That this Convention promote the intentionality of the Episcopal Church in the coming triennium to encourage single persons of all states and generations into its family through special campaign and activities; and be it further

Resolved, That a chair on the Commission on Human Affairs be assigned for this purpose; and be it further

Resolved, That this action be communicated to the dioceses, with a report of diocesan, provincial and national activities and results thereof to be communicated during the triennium to the aforestated commission, and to the convention of 1994.

Proposed Committee Amendment:

In the first Resolved, delete "to encourage" and replace it with "actively to reach out and draw into the church."

In the first Resolved, after "persons," insert "of all sorts and conditions through special campaigns and activities; and be it further" and delete the remainder of the sentence.

Delete the second and third Resolveds and replace them with:

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on Human Affairs and Mission Operations of the Church Center Staff be asked to evaluate what is being done and what should be done by our church in its many forms to assist this ministry; and to provide the 71st General Convention with a full report on this matter within the funds budgeted for the work of this Commission.
