Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring, That the first paragraph of Article IX of the Constitution be amended to read as follows: The General Convention may, by Canon, establish a Court s for the Trial of Bishops, which shall may be composed of Bishops only . or of Bishops, Priests, and adult lay persons.

The Committee on Constitution presented its Report #3 on Resolution A004 (Amend Constitution Article IX, First Reading: Expand Bishops' Trial Courts), moved the resolution, and recommended adoption as amended.

Proposed Committee Amendment:

In line 4, after "Priests," add "Deacons,"; delete "lay persons" and add: "communicants in good standing and be it further

Resolved, That this resolution be sent to the Secretary of the Convention of every Diocese, to be made known to the Diocesan Convention."
