Resolved, That the House of Bishops meeting at the 79th General Convention of The Episcopal Church, gathered in Austin, Texas, expresses our deep gratitude to Philip and April Schentrup and their children, Evelyn and Robert, faithful members of Saint Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, Coral Springs, FL, and to Abigail Zimmerman, faithful member of Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church in Waco, TX, for their presence and witness among us; and be it further

Resolved, That this 79th General Convention commends to the keeping of Almighty God Carmen Schentrup, the leader of her youth group ministry at Saint Mary Magdalene, Coral Springs, who was killed in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Ash Wednesday, 2018, along with the 16 other victims of that shooting, as well as all other victims of gun violence in our countries; and be it further

Resolved, That this 79th General Convention commends supports the young people of this Church and their fellow students who have been striving to turn a moment into a movement for lasting chance in the culture of violence that infects our countries at every level of our societies.
