Resolved, That the General Convention request the Standing Commission on Ecumenical Relations to issue an invitation to the Bishops' Commission on Ecumenical and Inter-religious Affairs of the Roman Catholic Church to sponsor a conference of Episcopal and Roman Catholic leaders in the United States to consider the practical implications of the first two Agreed Statements of the International Commission and the statement on the Purpose of the Church of the National Consultation, and what can be done to implement them in the life of the Church as the next step in the process toward visible unity.
