Resolved, That the 76th General Convention urge the Presiding Bishop and the President of the House of Deputies to establish a Group to evaluate the current system of standing commissions as a method “to study and draft policy proposals on major subjects considered to be of continuing concern to the mission of the Church” (Canon I.1.2a); and be it further
Resolved, That the Group explore and consider proposing alternative methods and structures for accomplishing this task of proposing policy, including mission priorities; and be it further
Resolved, That no new Standing Commissions be established at the 76th General Convention; and be it further
Resolved, That the Group report its findings to the 77th General Convention of The Episcopal Church.
