Final Text:

Resolved, That the 77th General Convention commends the Anglican Church of Korea for its leadership toward the goal of Korean reconciliation and ultimate reunification; and be it further

Resolved, That the 77th General Convention recognize that the U.S. military presence plays an essential peacekeeping role on the peninsula, but also acknowledges with concern that continued military presence may have unintended costs in terms of adverse impacts on the environment, local economies and human rights; and be it further

Resolved, That the 77th General Convention urge the governments on all sides to minimize exercises that escalate military tensions, and to cease actions that flagrantly abuse human rights or otherwise destabilize peace on the peninsula; and be it further

Resolved, That the 77th General Convention urge the governments of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) to continue allowing family visits and cultural exchanges across their border; and be it further

Resolved, That the 77th General Convention urge the United States government and encourage the ROK and other international organizations to expand humanitarian aid for people in poverty in the DPRK.
