Resolved, That the Executive Council pledge its continued support to the Presiding Bishop as we, together with him, continue to move through the open door into the future as we face the wind of renewed vision in the Spirit; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its respect, love and appreciation to Dr. Pamela Chinnis, President of the House of Deputies and Vice-Chair of the Executive Council, for her continued commitment to bring "all sorts and conditions" of people into the governance and total life of the Church; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Pamela Chinnis for her exemplary leadership and work in connection with preparation for the 71st General Convention; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its sincere thanks to the entire staff of the Episcopal Church Center for their dedicated and constant work on the process leading to the presentation and adoption of the Budget; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its concern and pledge its prayers for Barbara Braver, injured in a fall during this meeting; Lloyd Carson, unable to be present due to a back injury; Avis Harvey of the Sherrill Resource Center, hospitalized with an infection; Sally Buckles, whose husband was injured in a fall and to Elton Murdock, whose father died in the course of this meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the contribution of our Canadian Partners, especially their gift to the Council of the Hymnal Sampler, giving us insight to the work of the renewal of their hymnbook in the Canadian Church; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the Planning and Development Committee and staff for their work with the Long-Range Planning Process and Diocesan Visitations; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council affirm the work of the Administration and Finance Committee and staff for their work on the new funding policy and formula; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer its gratitude to the Program Committee and staff for their work and vision in developing new program directions for the next triennium; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its concern, prayers and gratitude to the members of staff who are retiring or leaving the Episcopal Church Center Staff as a result of budgetary changes; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its prayerful thanks for the return to health of Benjamin Nickerson, grandson of Donald Nickerson; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its thanks and gratitude to the Rector and Congregation of St. Paul's Church for their hospitality, the wonderful and informative program and insightful discussions, and the lively and Spirit-filled singing in the parish church; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the Rt. Rev. Frank Vest, Bonnie Kiermaier and the diocesan staff for their planning and warm welcome to the Diocese of Southern Virginia and the city of Norfolk; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer thanks for the lovely gift packages provided by Norfolk by the Sea; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council give thanks for the work of the D-163 Working Group; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer prayers of thanksgiving to the Rt. Rev. Elliott Sorge on the anniversary of his birth and on the 23rd anniversary of his consecration; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council give thanks for the Rt. Rev. Charlie McNutt for his continued support of our energy levels by Providing his own personal version of the "Energy Lift"; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its gratitude to the management and staff of the Marriott Waterside Hotel for their diligence, friendly manner and cooperative spirit during this meeting of the Council; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the "Committee to Review and Revise the 1979 Accounting Manual" as well as "other contributors and reviewers"; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council give thanks for the work of the Location Committee and staff (D-002x); and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer prayers of joy and thanksgiving for the first women to be ordained to the priesthood by and within the Church of England to take place at Bristol Cathedral in March 12, 1994; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its prayers and best wishes to the Rev. Victoria Matthews, a member of the Anglican Church of Canada Executive Council, as she becomes the first woman ordained to the episcopate in that Church; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its prayers, and best wishes to the Rev. Michael Bedford-Jones to be ordained Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Toronto on February 12; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council send greetings and prayers to the Rt. Rev. Michael Ingham, former Canadian Partner to this Executive Council, newly ordained bishop of the Diocese of New Westminster in the Province of British Columbia; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the committee and staff responsible for drafting the Executive Council Blue Book Report; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council celebrate and honor the challenging, emerging vision for the renewal and mission of the Episcopal Church.
