Whereas, The Most Rev. Jose Guadalupe Saucedo has served as a missionary for this church since 1958 together with his wife Juanita Ray Griffith; and Whereas, Under the leadership of Bishop Saucedo the Mexican Church grew from one diocese to five dioceses; and Whereas, The pastoral work of Bishop Saucedo is one that expressed an exemplary witness of Christian discipleship; and Whereas, Bishop Saucedo has retired as diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of Cuernavaca, Mexico, effective January 31, 1997 and as Primate of the Anglican Church of Mexico, effective March 5, 1997 at the age of 72; therefore be it Resolved, That the Executive Council express its gratitude and appreciation to Bishop Jose G. Saucedo and his wife Juanita R. Griffith for their long years of faithful service to God's Church in Mexico. |
