Resolved, That ECDEF, insofar as possible, provide relief to Gulf Coast dioceses affected by hurricanes in 2005 as promptly as possible; and be it further Resolved, That in order to facilitate prompt action on relief for the Gulf Coast dioceses, Executive Council urges the Office of the Presiding Bishop to consider using the DFMS line of credit previously authorized by this Council, which line of credit would be repaid by dioceses which are recipients of the funds and by fundraising efforts undertaken as part of the Mission Funding Initiative (MFI), and that Executive Council hereby directs the addition of ECDEF to the MFI priorities; and be it further Resolved, That a report on a process for implementation of ECDEF be provided by the Office of the Presiding Bishop at the March Executive Council meeting. |
