Resolves of the Executive Council

Resolved, That the Executive Council give thanks to the Rt. Rev. Calvin Schofield and the Diocesan Staff for all the arrangements made for the meeting of February 8-12, 1996; for their gracious welcoming and for the use of the Cathedral for our corporate worship; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council affirm their support and give thanks for the continued leadership of the Most Rev. Edmond Browning and Dr. Pamela Chinnis; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council thank the Rt. Rev. Charles Keyser, the Rev. William Noble, the Rev. Ramon Aymerich, and the Rev. Jean Bazin for their timely presentation; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council give thanks to Dr. Peggy McIntosh, the Rev. Canon Ed Rodman, and Dr. Randall Bailey for their leadership and dedication in leading the Anti-Racism Training day; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer profound thanks to Judith Conley for the inspiring sermon delivered during the Absalom Jones observance at Trinity Cathedral; and to the Rt. Rev. Sam Hulsey for his sermon at the Opening Eucharist; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer continued prayer for the repose of the soul of Allan Cheney, and for Reynolds and his family; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer its assurance of prayers for the Rt. Rev. Quintin Primo as he undergoes by-pass surgery and that this be conveyed to his wife, Winifred; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council give thanks for the Youth Presence at this meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council give continued thanks for the presence of our Canadian Partners and our new friends and partners from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; praying that we will enrich their lives as much as they have enriched ours; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council extend the hand of welcome to our new Treasurer, Stephen C. Duggan, our Assistant Treasurer, Catherine A. Lynch, and our new Controller, Anthony J. Perfetti; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer its thanks to the Management and staff of the Biscayne Bay Marriott for their excellent service during our meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council thank the Members of the diocesan staff for the tour of the Everglades and lunch on the boat; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council thank the staff of Trinity Cathedral for the use of their facility for worship and fellowship; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its continuing appreciation for Brother Richard's inspiring gift of ministry through music along with the newly formed "Magnificent Eight" Chorus of Council Crooners and Canaries; we hereby request a repeat performance at our next meeting; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council offer prayer and concern for St. Andrew's Parish, Amarillo, Texas, in the Diocese of Northwest Texas, in the wake of their recent devastating fire; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council thank Harold and Susan Nugent who acted as guides on the trip to the Everglades and for their sharing their vast knowledge of this endangered ecosystem; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Council express its deep thanks to Dean Krickbaum and the laity of Trinity Cathedral and the clergy and laity of the parishes of St. Paul's, St. Thomas, and Holy Comforter for the superb food, service, and glorious ministry through dance provided at the dinner on Sunday.
