Resolved, That the Executive Council convey its condolences and prayers to his family, on the death of the Rev. Canon John Yamazaki, sometime member of the Executive Council and long a devoted servant of the Lord in Asian-American Ministries; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council express its condolences and prayers to the Rt. Rev. C. Christopher Epting upon the death of his grandmother during the course of this meeting; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council send its best wishes and prayers to the Rev. Ben Pao for continued healing; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council extend its prayers and condolences to the Rt. Rev. Geralyn Wolf on the death of her sister Valerie; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council express its profound gratitude to the Rt. Rev. Richard Shimpfky, the Diocese of El Camino Real and the Diocesan staff for their warm welcome, for the informative presentations of their adult members and the songs of their children, and their thoughtful gifts to us, found in our hotel rooms; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the congregation of Nuestra Senora Guadalupe Episcopal Church for the Spanish Eucharist on February 14; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to the Rt. Rev. Richard Shimpfky for planning our visits to the local parishes on Sunday, February 15, giving the members of Council and staff great insight and knowledge of the many and diverse parishes and peoples of this diocese; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council express its heartfelt thanks to the congregation of Trinity Church, Lincoln, Nebraska for their idea of the "drop in the bucket" fund raiser for the Presiding Bishop's Fund; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council express its thanks to St. Aiden's Parish in San Francisco, and their rector, the Rev. Bavi Rivera, for the "energy" life gifts given to us as this meeting began. |
