Resolved, That the Executive Council, meeting in the Diocese of North Carolina in March 1987, applaud the ministries of Voorhees College, St. Paul's College and St. Augustine's College, their Boards, Faculties, and Staff, and encourage these institutions to engage in a planning and needs assessment and study the feasibility of joining one another in a capital drive for financial support for their ministries; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council encourage these colleges to seek funds to pay the cost of such studies from all available sources including and placing high priority on those under the management of the Treasurer of the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council request those colleges to report to the Council the results of such studies and their recommendations for further actions; and be it further Resolved, That the Executive Council request the Presiding Bishop to advise the Diocesan Bishops directly affected by this action. |
