Resolved, That the Executive Council receive the information regarding new Missionary Appointments and Volunteers for Mission, and that the Secretary be requested to relay this Council's appreciation to them:

Appointments

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powell, of Sewanee, Tennessee, have been appointed to the Diocese of Costa Rica for a three-month tour, beginning February 27, 1980. They will be conducting Lay Leadership Training programs.

Miss Cynthia Wilder, of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, has been appointed to serve as an Assistant Lay Reader in San Felipe de Lara in the Diocese of Guatemala. Her appointment is for the period of one year (renewable) and became effective March 15, 1980.

Miss Eliza Cutcher, who is from Tucson, Arizona, has been appointed for a two-year tour as an Agriculturist with CECAI in the Diocese of Ecuador, beginning May 26, 1980.

Returned from the Field

The Rev. Doss. Evelyn Ashcroft of Pacific Grove, California, has returned from a nine-month tour in Buye, Burundi, Diocese of Buye. She worked in the Diocesan Women's Training Center.

Overseas Personnel

Mr. Leonard S. Coleman concluded a three-year tour as an appointed missionary on January 1, 1980. He had been serving as Training Officer for the Church Organization for Research and Training (CORAT), centered in Nairobi, Kenya. He has returned to the United States but has not yet taken another position.

Overseas Personnel

The Rt. Rev. Rigal Elisee, Bishop of the Gambia and Rio Pongas in the Province of West Africa, has been appointed to be a missionary of the Episcopal Church, USA, effective May 1, 1980. [See Supplementary Text.]
